Threats, intimidation, and violence against those that have cooperated with the United Nations system in the field of human rights constitute serious violations of human rights. Through testimonies the panel will provide concrete examples of such violations including in countries such as Bahrain, Venezuela, Rwanda and Kenya. The panel will discuss how the Council and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights can provide effective responses and ensure that there is no impunity for reprisals
